I used AI to help redesign a few of my pitch decks. Honestly I have been thrilled with the results and LOVE the process. Unfortunately it has put my usual Fiverr worker out of a job, at least with me, but I love have the control in my hands. I use ChatGPT for making all my images and being able to just tell it turn a character to the left or 'put a mountain behind that house' and it is done in seconds!
I can tell that a LOT of other decks are now AI assisted. I do worry that soon there will be SUCH a glut of them that it will no longer be an advantage .... BUT I guess then it will as always come down to the content and if that is compelling...
Yes, I've used AI for pitch decks and other "task" work and it has worked out. Had a frustrating experience with ChatGPT, which for days was incapable of removing a smear from a graphic without completely changing the graphic. Then it kept coming back saying it couldn't access the tool it had been using. I asked if it could use a different tool, it said it could and suddenly every edit was done correctly. So a lesson learned and to be shared, if AI is messing up, it may have picked the wrong tool for the job.
Many decks are AI assisted which may be cool for us as the creators but keep in mind that producers/financiers seeing an obviously-AI-assisted pitch deck can be less interested due to that. So what I do and suggest is once you have an AI draft of a pitch Deck, really customize it in ways that really reflect your sensibilities so when viewed, it may look slick as an AI-produced pitch deck but have a unique personal flavor that could stand out from the flood of very AI decks.
